Crystal and Cameron Sittin' In a Tree...

Crystal Westland, former manager of Fashion Crimes, tied the knot one year ago to her true love Mr. Handsome...uh, I mean Cameron.  Crystal could have worn a Walmart smock and still looked smashing, but thankfully (and obviously) she took the fashionable route.  The blushing bride opted for a Fashion Crimes Vamp Gown in silver sequin fabric:

 The pictures say it all; I don't need to tell you how gorgeous she is, how great that dress looked on her, or how rad that tattoo is!  Also, bear in mind that like all of Pam Chorley's designs, this dress is available in many different fabrics, and also is available in a sleeveless and halter version.

First Time's A Charm!

It was Gisella's first time in Fashion Crimes when she found her perfect dress.  Gisella was on the hunt for a unique and exquisite floor length gown to wear to a wedding in Europe, and thankfully the universe pulled her into our wonderful boutique.  It was clearly a fantastic choice:  a Fashion Crimes Vamp Gown in black lace with white underlay.  She felt amazing, and as you can see from the pictures she looked amazing too!  Way to show 'em how it's done!!

Keep in mind this gorgeous style comes in a variety of fabrics, and we have it in a sleeve version as well as halter.  And if you're not into the floor length, we have this backless style in a knee length option.  Leave it to Fashion Crimes to cater to every lady's needs!!

Engagements, Weddings, and Anniversaries, Oh My!!

 Without a doubt this Summer has certainly been kind to us (please don't go!), and judging from the wonderful pics, the sun wasn't the only thing emitting hotness!

This babe duo decided to celebrate their wedding engagement with style.  The gorgeous Kelly wore a Fashion Crimes Audrey Sheath dress in a gold metallic lace.  Fantastic couple with fantastic style; congratulations Kelly and Ted!!

This stunning bride opted for a knee length Fashion Crimes Jezebel Tivoli dress in ivory embroidered silk.  Love this dress as much as I love this picture! Congratulations Sarah on not only your recent nuptials, but looking fabulous while doing it!! 

One year later and this knockout couple is still feeling wedded bliss!  On her first wedding anniversary, Anna donned a Fashion Crimes Demure dress in ivory Venetian lace, and completely rocked it!  Happy anniversary Anna and Robbie, may you two continue to teach the world a few lessons in hotness for many many years to come!

A Bride With Style

 In February 2012, Theodora and Kurt tied the knot.  While her friends encouraged her to buy a wedding dress that was long and sleeveless, she wanted the complete opposite: sleeves and "oh so short"!  Upon visiting Toronto from Vancouver, Theodora stumbled upon Fashion Crimes, and subsequently her wedding dress.  When our awesome stylist/HR manager, Tiffany, showed her the Demure Sleeve dress in Japanese Garden fabric, Theodora knew instantly that had to be her dress.  In her own words: "it was Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine meets Elizabeth Bennet of Pride and Prejudice".

 The pictures are all the proof you need; Theodora made a great call!  The length of the dress says 'sexy', while the cut and the fabric scream 'elegance'.  This goes without saying, but lady you were a beautiful and stylin' bride!  The Fashion Crimes team wishes the happy couple a long and wonderful life together.  Congratulations!!

  

 

Pretty In Hot Pink

Attention all brides to be: take a lesson from Vanessa Lent; you do not need an ivory or white dress to be a beautiful bride! She wore a stunning strapless, silk organza gown in an eye popping fuchsia paired with a multi-coloured crystal necklace that she found at Fashion Crimes. We are all in love with Vanessa's ensemble (you look gorgeous!!), and how much do you love her dashing groom, Nathan? Suspenders, plaid pants, skinny tie, all topped off with a knuckle bump! You two make an adorable couple; congratulations and we wish you all the happiness in the world!

Double The Fashion. Double The Fun!

I (Melissa) attended my beautiful cousin Danielle's wedding over the holidays in wonderful Newfoundland, so when packing I made sure to include lots of Fashion Crimes dresses. It's a good thing I did, because my twin sister Meleny saw my electric blue strapless dress and suddenly the "what to wear?" question was answered.

Pictured above is my gorgeous sister completely owning the look with the electric blue dress (don't worry, I took it back when I left for Toronto!), wire cuff bracelet, and jet gem necklace. I am wearing one of Fashion Crimes' newest styles, the Drew Stretch in sheer passemeterie fabric over yellow lining, with my killer rhinestone owl ring and bronze dipped oak leaf earrings. It was a fantastic night, once again reaffirming that Newfie weddings are my favourite kind of weddings!

Mermaid Dress Success!

One day Alexis Taylor came to Fashion Crimes to find a fabulous dress to wear to a wedding. She found a gorgeous apple print chiffon Mermaid dress on sale, but unfortunately was a size too big for her. She left the boutique empty handed, but the dress must have haunted her dreams because on the day of the wedding she paid us yet another visit. This time Alexis came rushing through, hair in curlers, in the hopes her dress had not been purchased. Luckily, the dress was still here, so the pretty lady hurled herself into our change room while the lovely Cha Cha quickly helped pin the dress to her size. On the 30 minute train ride to Oakville, Alexis managed to alter the dress by hand! And judging by the pictures, she did an amazing job! Wow woman, you look stunning; we can all learn from your determination and creativity!

Ladies (and gents)! Alexis was lucky in this case, but in many instances we see women coming back to the store to claim the garment they had left behind, only to discover it has been sold. We hate seeing disappointed faces, so if you find a dress you love make sure you take it home with you that day!
