The Fashion Crimes pick of the day is the always elegant Demure Sleeve dress in navy lyon lace! This piece has a beautifully detailed scalloped hem, sexy sheer sleeves, and sits just above the knee. Of course, we have this style in many other fabrics, and it is available in a sleeveless version. You won't know just how dynamite this dress is until you come in and try it on!
We certainly love layering necklaces; and the funkier the better. Starting from the top is a mini, glass cover pocket watch, followed by an Eiffel tower charm necklace, with a birdcage pendant finishing the ensemble. Modelling the Fashion Crimes pick of the day is Kat McEwen's beloved Fridge, an adorable Boston Terrier that we all want to take home with us! Fridge is sporting a fur ermine necklace, which can also be worn as a bracelet. Like all of our furs, it is Canadian sourced (click HERE for more info on the Canadian fur trade), thus supporting our economy and independent fur traders. We have a wide variety of fur (and faux fur) hats,stoles, and key chains. Come on in and take a peek!
One day Alexis Taylor came to Fashion Crimes to find a fabulous dress to wear to a wedding. She found a gorgeous apple print chiffon Mermaid dress on sale, but unfortunately was a size too big for her. She left the boutique empty handed, but the dress must have haunted her dreams because on the day of the wedding she paid us yet another visit. This time Alexis came rushing through, hair in curlers, in the hopes her dress had not been purchased. Luckily, the dress was still here, so the pretty lady hurled herself into our change room while the lovely Cha Cha quickly helped pin the dress to her size. On the 30 minute train ride to Oakville, Alexis managed to alter the dress by hand! And judging by the pictures, she did an amazing job! Wow woman, you look stunning; we can all learn from your determination and creativity!
Ladies (and gents)! Alexis was lucky in this case, but in many instances we see women coming back to the store to claim the garment they had left behind, only to discover it has been sold. We hate seeing disappointed faces, so if you find a dress you love make sure you take it home with you that day!

The video has two ladies posing as mannequins in the always spectacular Jezebel Pom dress (pictured above). They spring to life to join the dance party in the window; the video is so awesome! These fantastic rhinestone covered, square clutches are the Fashion Crimes pick of the day! This is the first design of Pam Chorley to make an appearance in this incredibly intricate fabric, and here we added a belt for added contrast. This show stopper is accessorized with a crystal sachet-style purse (gotta love that tassel at the bottom!), a beautiful crystal necklace with jet stones, and the always drool-worthy black birdcage veiled hat. The Fashion Crimes pick of the day is the silver sequin Audrey Mini dress! This dress literally lights you up as you move, it sits above the knee, has a great scoop neckline, and we also have a version with sleeves. Our lovely stylists have accessorized this dress by layering two beautiful crystal encrusted necklaces, and an organza flower fascinator that, like the majority of our hair clips, doubles as a brooch. This just in: feather hair extensions!! These wonderful hair accessories are great for making an ordinary hair-do just a little more dramatic. Here, the lovely lady pictured clings on to an extra long, lucite necklace from Fashion Crimes. The lucite beads are strung together with soft navy tulle, which ties together in a big bow. We love this necklace just as much as Wedding Bells, as this piece can be suitable for any occasion when styled properly. Fringe-wear is the theme for the pick of the day; whether it be around your neck, off your shoulders, or dangling from your ears! It appears cherries and yummy berries are on the minds of the Fashion Crimes clan, as once again it appears in our pick of the day! A classy chicklet necklace accented with fun cherry bunches, a strawberry rhinestone ring, a red crystal star fish ring, and white bead dream catcher earrings all compliment each other wonderfully, and can be worn casually or formally depending on how you style it. We are all quite excited for the new rhinestone flower headpieces that just came in last Friday! Again, these beautiful pieces can be worn as a hair clip or brooch, and as you can see come in a variety of wonderful colours. Laying on the grass are more of the many different types of necklaces to just hit the shelves (or display cabinets in our case!); including the Marilyn Monroe pendant in the middle, which makes us want to sing "Happy birthday Mr. President" every time we look at it!!
We decided to feature one of our many fantastic showcases as the Fashion Crimes pick of the day. Pictured above on the mini pedestal is the extravagant, yet elegant, pearl and crystal gem clutch perched next to various styles of the pearl cluster cocktail ring. The clutch is a very special piece; it is hand crafted, completely functional, and fits perfectly in the palm of your hand. Also, we have displayed some of the newest additions to our hair accessory collection, which arrived just last Friday. The blue double feather flower hair clip and peach organza head piece are both equally dynamic, and they each double as a brooch. Two accessories in one, awesome!
