a very bright star

For one of the youngest stars to gallivant the red carpet last week for the film festival- 13 year old Samantha Weinstein must be by far one of the wisest. Years beyond her age.
I found myself deeply conversing with her about such topics as modern Jazz, the benefits of specialized school curriculum's and the realities of the film industry when she was at the store being fitted for her red carpet dress. She is so eloquent, articulate, and truly talented! Definatley a Toronto talent to follow.
Fashion/Lifestyle columnist, Rita Zekas of the Toronto Star agrees- she featured Samantha last week in one of her TIFF columns.

very serious staff meetings. pt1

At our recent staff meeting the team @ the store examined a very exciting topic: FALL FASHION. This fall season is revealing itself to be one of the most exciting we have seen in years. The feminine classic silhouettes with the contrasting oversized chunky metal belt buckles, bangles, and necklaces encompasses the unique amalgamation that Pam loves to collect in the boutique. It is particularily exciting to throw in loads of unexpected combinations: turtle necks under strapless cocktail dresses, evening gloves with jeans to the grocery store, feather headpieces for drinks at the neighbourhood bar...
It's not surprising either actually, that this fall features lots of florals and vibrant colours after the exuberantly colourful, flowy and floral spring that we had. Thanks to spring for the light-girly details that have trickled into fall.

A part of of the Fall discussion at the staff meeting included product knowledge and awareness. A crucial part of this analyzing was to test run some of the feature dresses, accessories and gift items ourselves...

TIFF was a hit! One of the many events that featured Pam's designs on the red carpet was the after party for the premiere of the movie It Might Get Loud. Guests mingled and listened to the musical notes of Lindsay Ell- she was all in FC glitz.

as you can see, Caitlin and Crystal had a grand time!

it's a comin'

FUN is happening this Friday in the form of Sharron Matthews! Shar and her entourage just left the store with her incredible dresses for the show. We had a BLAST as always! This time her entourage included her talented husband George Masswohl, (what a treat to see him all the way from Niagra!) and her georgeous BFF-the gifted Thom Allison.

I have a feeling that WE will be singing to Sharron this time- as it's her birthday bash! come out to experience her show- you won't regret it.
...Of course, all of the FC gals will there in full force.

neighbourly fashion love...

Check out the DAILY THREAD, a fantastic blog written by a group of hip Queen west stylists.

Our neighbours from stylus communications found a few of their favorite pieces last week to shoot for their recent editorial.
