Dream Jefferson And The Fashion Crimes Experience

Toronto-based indie hip hop duo Dream Jefferson (consisting of the equally lovely Corboe and Owel Five) stepped inside the glamorous world of Fashion Crimes for the very first time in the hopes of finding that special gift for the ladies in their lives; their Moms of course! The gentlemen left with gorgeous flower rings each gift wrapped in beautiful satin bags (which is a complementary service here at Fashion Crimes by the way!), but not before paying a visit to the photo area where the talented Peter Tucker captured the essence that is Dream Jefferson. Being a fan myself, I had to join the guys in the fun:

If you haven't seen Dream Jefferson live, you must! And if you have yet to hear their awesome sound, you can download their 7 song EP

Pam gets noticed...

I remember the first time I saw Pam. I was working at a large clothing store two years ago, and she walked in and I was instantly drawn to her. I asked my manager who she was, and he replied:

"Pam Chorley, owner of Fashion Crimes. She can stop traffic."

In this case, with Geeky Chic, she stopped her in her tracks.
Check out Pam on the Geeky Chic blog here!

Cinderella Affair

We had a little visit from the spicy, Jeri Brown, who was looking for the perfect dress for the Cinderella Gala for the Canadian Opera Company.

After sorting through a few too-short, too-long, too Halloween'y dresses, we finally hit the jackpot and found the right dress for the occasion; a mid thigh, black satin mini, with a sweetheart neckline covered in lace. A dress fit for a princess, but rock & roll enough for a bad-ass superstar.

LIVE to AIR

The fabulous Emilie-Claire Barlow performs live on JAZZFM.91, wearing dresses so beautiful, you could see them through radio broadcast. She is pictured above looking radiant in Fashion Crimes; a lace Jezebelwiggle dress accessorized in layered cream pearls and beautiful rhinestone bracelet.
It was a treat to meet the lovely singer, who was nice enough to bring in a copy of her CD, which was quickly added to the boutiques repertoire of songs. Here she is seen in one of Fashion Crimes newest creations: the Demuresleeve dress in a navy satin with ivory lace overlay. Pictured below is Emily in two more fantastic Fashion Crimes dresses: the gold brocade Ruched Balloon (left) and the Audrey Holly in emerald satin (right).
Looking good Emily!!

One last party to end Summer

C-lounge invites Fashion Crimes to share with guests a few good reasons why we're still the reigning boutique on the Queen West strip.
At the recent Fashion affair Drink-Play-Fashion, at C-Lounge, guests got to mingle with some of Toronto's newest designers and preview their new collection.

Fashion Crimes previewed some of the hottest looks from the Queen Street boutique, to so many who had never stepped into the magical world of Pam Chorley.
Carolyn is wearing a slim-fit sweetheart dress in black satin, with tassels that hung to the ground; guests of the event couldn't help but stare. Danielle wore the micro-mini in the magic sequined fabric, that had peoples hands all over her.
Logan wore the rooster feather epaulettes that caused everyone's heads turn, while Cha-Cha (first picture far right) wore her prettiest rock star dress, accenting it with a chunky leather belt and handcrafted crystal necklace that has graced many famous necks, including Katy Parry!

But of all the dresses in the room, nobody could resist taking an eyefull of Pam's latest creation, the one dress everybody in the city is talking about and covetting; The Drew.

Special thanks to Edward Kwan, the amazing photographer to took such lovely images of us all night long. See his story of the event Drink-Play-Fashion on his website www.edwardkwan.com
