the premiere

Sarah Brightman on set as 'Blind Mag' (in a belt that you can find at FC!)
Alexa Vega playing 'Shilo'.
She is so small that REPO's costume designer, Alex Kavanagh, had her crinoline taken in to fit a teeny little waist! This item is one of the pieces that Alex discovered at Fashion Crimes to complete her wardrobe masterpiece.
Jake Reardon and guest at the premiere.
The dress from Fashion Crimes that Reardon glowed in this past Friday was particularly special to her- as she landed the part of the 'Single Mother' after sporting an FC dress to her audition!

Don't you LOVE the posh shopper illustrated on the holiday postcard!? (see last post). She embodies all kinds of fabulous FC style. Danielle Meder is the talent behind this one- and will be providing many more gorgeous illustrations for us!
You can also find her lovely renderings on Rags & Mags. This fashion/style blog is so refreshing and perfectly reflects the Canadian fashion perspective that we love... kudos to writer Carolyn Rohaly! (Also a very dear friend and member of the fashion crimes society)

ahhh! it's coming!

couldn't help an additional post with more REPO images!
Jake just left the store after her final fitting
with the premier worthy dress.
Can't believe the hype for this movie release.
It's going to be a BIG one. Definately up there with Rocky Horror.

Tara Mobayen is one of the lovely contestants for the
Miss Universe Canada Pageant.
She embodies a beauty of vintage Hollywood with her
felted headpiece and pearl encrusted handbag, both from FC.

Once again- the wine ladies were fab in FC@ Flourish!

red carpet

a few weeks ago we attended the "ticket to Ride" BELL celebrity gala, (a fundraiser for Sick Kids). Fashion Crimes dressed the performers for the evening- including Suzie McNeil, Kreesha Turner, Lindsay Ell, and Cleo.

FC

I like that "FC" pertains to both Fashion Crimes & Fashion Cares. It makes sense. Especially for the reason that 20+ years ago when Fashion Cares began, Fashion Crimes worked as one of the sole designers for the show.
This year the relationship was re-hatched, as the show once again featured FC alongside with 3 other Toronto greats: David Dixon, Izzy Camilleri & Greta Constantine. (the jet crystal make-up perfectly complimented our plume jezebel wiggle dress!)

Katy Perry has a love for Fashion Crimes accessories- see her below in our pink swarovski "queen mum" necklace.

All in all---FC loves being a part of FC. Between Phillip Ing, the reps at MAC cosmetics, stylist Juliana Schiavinatto , the AMAZING team from ACT, and all of the excited guests and performers (Anne Mroczkowski, Katy Perry, Kreesha Turner, etc) it is obvious that this incredibly successful event is a direct result from all of the passion behind the scenes.

Looking forward to Fashion Cares 2009.
