POSER.

A steamy, stylish affair is what the Toronto Star is calling Photographer Cailtin Cronenberg's book launch party. The launch took place on Wednesday, July 21, at the Berkley Church; the perfect setting for a mingling of those in the Toronto art scene, who of course arrived in style. Poser is the four year project of Cailtin, a Ryerson Grad, with an incredible talent. When asked about the project she said; "it was like getting married and giving birth at the same time".Caitlin wore the gold lace tied up dress and tons of FC accessories. Fashion Crimes designer, Pam Chorley, manager Kat McEwen and office manager Melissa Yetman all attended the soiree, rocking beautiful prints that matched their double-a wit and charm.

Happy Birthday Pam!!!!!

Yesterday (July6) Pam celebrated her birthday, for the sake of keeping my job I can not tell you how old she is!

Pam opened the store on Queen St in 1982, had her daughter Jasmine 10 years later and has been a strong feature in Queen St West ever evolving history.

From all of the staff here at Fashion Crimes, we wish Pam the happiest of Birthdays!

Parlour Salon celebrates being a year old!

One of our favorite Salon's in Toronto is celebrating it's first birthday!!
Parlour Salon is located at 6 Ossington, just North of Queen. The lovely hair artists, Brionie and Suzzi, were responsible for the hair and makeup at our Retrospective Party held at the Drake Hotel in April, for LG Fashion Week.

Parlour is getting a lot of excitement these days, what with many interviews in the paper and on TV, and even a guest appearance from Adam Lambert! What better way to commemorate one year of good hair, than with a good party!

There will be drinks, laughs, photos taken, and an all around great time!

Come hang with the FC crew and see why Parlour Salon is our favorite.

Rock Of Ages

The other night Dina Pugliese from Breakfast Television and City Line's Tracy Moore, got all decked out in some amazing Fashion Crimes frocks for the opening night of ROCK OF AGES. The theme of the night was the best of the 80's, the ladies worked with our top stylist Kat McEwen to piece together looks with sparkle, lace, leather and lots of crini. Not to mention some serious hair crimping.

Check out the photo's below.

More to come!

Pam Chorley, reunites with Glen Hanson

Fashion Crimes recently teamed up with the imaginative Glen Hanson once again, to create the limited edition prints for a retrospective party hosted by The Drake Hotel. Pam and Glenn go way back, back to the beginning in fact. He stylized some of the original artwork for the store, and so it was just the perfect idea to bring him on board to help celebrate 27 years of Fashion and Fabulousness. Glen was a presence himself, wearing leather pants, and an open blazer, sporting chains and edgy hardware on his wrists. The amazing artists creativity went beyond pen and paper.

It was the perfect way to end Toronto Fashion Week. The crew from Fashion Crimes and many guests sipped on cocktails named after dresses at the store, while they got to peak at some of Pam's designs from past to present.

The excitement was up in room 222, where you could have your hair and make-up styled by two of the lovely ladies from Parlour Salon, who of course wore two of our favorite designs. After hair and make-up, our very special guests could then peruse an accessory bar to gear up with the latest and greatest from our selection. Once fully made up, and sparkling in rhinestones, we sent them of to face the camera, where Peter Tucker snapped happy, and captured some unforgettable moments!

Pictures of the Drake Event will be available to view shortly - a link will be posted on our Facebook group, as well as on our online scrapbook!

Cheers, to 27 years! And more to come!
